Me and my friend Dan (see his Flickr photostream here) took a trip to Harewood House in Leeds the other day. For those who don’t know, it’s a stately home with huge landscaped gardens surrounding, with things like a bird garden, penguin house and a small river with a waterfall.
It’s not usually the kind of place I’d go to do photography, I’m not normally that inspired by wildlife, but I thought I’d give it a shot.
I got laughed at by Dan for trying to compose a shot of a ladder lying near a wall in the bird garden, apparently I was missing the point?! I did get a couple of shots of the wildlife though, as you will see!
Anyway, below I’m showing some of the photographs I took during our day out. Perhaps it’s not the traditional style of photography to practice in the gardens of a stately home, but I think I brought back my own interpretation of it, which I hope you can enjoy as much as I did!
